How To Spot Fake Ray Bans

How To Spot Fake Ray Bans

Finally, I'm writing on something other than belts. This is my first time so please omit the mistakes. Although what I've learnt from my experience is that there are tons of fake Ray Bans. It won't be hard to authenticate one as it is pretty easy. First I'll show you the most famous designs by Ray Ban

These are some of the renowned designs by Ray Ban. Ray Bans are expensive and obviously their features won't be the same as the counterfeits. Ray Bans are heavy in weight, indeed they might look light from the distance but you don't judge a book by its cover, right? If you can't feel the weight of the Ray Bans, they must be an imitation.

Check whether the Ray Ban logo is on the glasses. It won't just be stuck on them, not a sticker, it would be etched on to the glasses. The quality of the glasses defines Ray Bans. Expose them to light and take a look, you'll know for sure.

The rubber components on the side of the glasses would be kind of soft, not hard or brittle but they won't break easily either.

The model number would be on the inner side of the glasses, you can search them off at the Ray Ban official website. Also check whether there is a Ray Ban logo on the inner side of it.

Take a look at the nose pad of the Ray Bans, check whether they have the logo overthere. Many classic imitations miss out on those ones.

Take a look at the case in which the glasses came in. Check whether or not it has the Ray Ban logo on it.

Firmly hold the glasses, check the quality, the weight, think to yourself whether or not you're buying the right/authentic product or not.

How To Authenticate Beats Headsets

How To Authenticate Beats Headsets

Hello, this is a guideline on how to authenticate Beats Headsets. This can be really tricky as it is faked too much. Perfect fake copies can also be found so try not to get tricked but as I always say, they'll always have to leave a mark behind. You might need to read this twice before you understand it. Believe me I took too much time reading on how to spot fake Beats but it's still pretty hard for me. The left ones are going to be the original one and the right one is the fake.

The foremost mark is that they'll have to leave the trademarks and copyrights symbols behind, so here's how it looks:
So if you look real close, the left one is the real because after the E in dre, it consists of a TM (Trademark). The right one doesn't have any so it's a fake. You can also see the mark after studio written in the bottom. The other thing is that if you look really closely, you can see that their is a difference in the color
If you take a look at the back of the box, you'll notice that the headsets are in two different positions. It will also lack the TM mark. Have a look:

Here's another thing, Dr.Dre's pictures are different and the '|' is replaced with a '/'

You can see that the wordings are clearly changed over here:

The Monster Clean Cloth officially provided with the headsets, the pattern is totally different, you can clearly see it:

The documents provided with the original headsets, the fake one doesn't have any. *Note* Both documents are those of the original ones*:

This would be it. Some say that the pin which is inserted is golden, I'm not sure about that so I can't confirm it and I don't want to be posting fake facts here but it could be a plus one. Thank you for taking out the time to read this article.

How To Spot A Fake Hermes Belt

Spotting a fake Hermes belt can be very difficult because Hermes Belts are widely faked but as for this, along with the other designer belts, it is very hard to fake it properly. No matter what they do their will always be a slight mistake, a mistake not so slight that it would go unnoticed, it can be easily seen. For starters, Hermes' belts are made out of the best materials they start from $800 and are made out of various skins. Hermes' belts can be recognized from the material that has been used and what kind of skin has been used to make the belt.

Buckle:

  • The buckle will be made out of an expensive metal, possibly even real gold or palladium
  • The buckle will have Hermes written on it along with an accent on the second 'e'
  • The buckle will not be hollow, it should be heavy
  • The buckle will not have any scratches on it
  • The metal should not have any chipping or tarnishing of the surface
  • The edges of the buckle would be very smooth and would be even, not leaving a mark
  • The buckle will have Made in France written on it on the inside of it
  • The buckle will never be shiny, it would be matte
  • If you take a look from above the buckle would have written Hermes on it. In other words, on the top of the buckle.

Packaging:

  • Good things come in good packaging. If the belt is worth so much money, it's more than obvious that the box would be good as well.
  • The box will be orange in colour
  • It would have Hermes written on it
  • A picture of the chariot commonly seen around the Hermes Logo will be there, if the chariot seems to be slightly blurry it is more likely that you're holding a counterfeit.
  • The orange coloured box would be tied in a black ribbon
  • Most of the boxes have Made in France written on the right side but it may vary.

Stitching:

  • The belt's stitching would be beyond perfect.
  • Nothing would be imperfect, not even one stitch like the Gucci and Louis Vuitton but this would be even better.

Invoice:

  • The invoice will have the Hermes logo as a watermark on the middle of it.
  • It would state where the belt has been bought from. It would state the store, city and the country.

How to Spot A Fake Gucci Interlocking G Buckle Belt

Gucci belts are known because of the fine Italian Craftsmanship. Different stuff from Gucci has been famous since years. They are known for their simple yet elegant design. Fake Gucci belts are hard to spot because there are more and more knockoffs in the market. Not only the belts but other products by them as well. Here are some steps to teach you how to spot a fake Gucci belt:

  • Spend some time on their website and look for the design you want. The website is highly organized and it wouldn't be a problem to search for the belt you like.

  • Gucci belts are highly expensive so more like Louis Vuitton and other famous designers they won't have any imperfections in their belts, everything would be equal and not even a slight mistake in their pattern or stitching would be there.
  • Their belts start from $225 and they are never for half-price or on sale, you can kiss the dreams of buying these belts goodbye. You won't get these belts cheap.

Packaging:

  • The belt comes in a bag which is dark brown and consists of two ropes on the top, the ropes will be of good material and you can feel that the belt is worth something just by touching the bag. The bag has the G pattern engraved on it and it will have GUCCI written on it in capital. On the bottom of the bag, there would be written Firenze 1921.

  • It will then have a dustbag in it which is dark brown and has the same ropes as the bag's. The dustbag will have Gucci written on it on the middle of it. While opening the dustbag you can smell the scent of fine leather.

    Dustbag

Note: Packaging may vary, this is one of the types.

The Belt:

  • The most important thing of all, the belt. The belt will be made out of Guccissima leather. If you touch the belt you'll be assured that it is worth your money
  • The belt from the inside will be beige coloured (would vary if a different type of belt is bought)
  • The belt would consist of 5 holes
  • The belt will have GUCCI, made in Italy written on it followed by the serial code of it. It may vary which country it is made in, though this is the most common one. Belts that have been produced after 2014 will have the serial code just left to the buckle on the inner side of the belt.
  • The belt will have a strap on the inside of it

The Buckle:

  • |The GG Imprime Belt will have 8 screws, two of them would be hidden under the strap. Although, the new model has 6 screws on it.
  • The buckle would be made out of Plexiglass and Nickel hardware, the hardware varies because their are many Interlocking G Buckles belts so I can't state all of it. You can check it from the belt's description
  • The belt's buckle would make a unique sound if tapped by your nail or a tuning fork, less like pure metal or steel so you can recognize whether it's a fake or not
  • Their would be a strap on the inside of the belt

  • Visible 6 screws
The strap and the hidden 2 screws

The Receipt:

  • The receipt comes in a receipt holder, it's rectangular and has the G pattern on it
  • It would have Gucci written on the middle of it and Firenze 1921 on the bottom of the receipt
  • The material of the receipt holder will be the same as that of the bag
  • The receipt will have your name, the shop where you bought that belt from
  • The belt would be categorized as Men's>Belt
  • The date and time would be stated
  • The receipt would have the serial number of the belt, if you type that serial number in google, it will show you the link of the belt from the original website of Gucci.
  • The receipt holder
    The receipt

Please note that the receipt format may vary from time to time along with the location, different outlets have slightly different formats.

Tips:

  • Always buy your products from the outlets of Gucci, never from any other stores
  • Whatever store you're buying it from, search the store on Gucci's store locater
  • You will be heavily taxed for the belt so if the belt is of $295 they would take $375 from you
  • You will never get the belt cheap
Written by: Annas Larik

Please note that this article doesn't completely implement to the belts produced after 2014 as their designs have changed. The products would be the same but the Gucci serial code would be found just left to the buckle. The receipt may vary.
